You’ll Never Believe What’s Hidden on YouTube!

Let’s face it. Streaming services are expensive, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to stop driving up their prices any time soon. With how all-encompassing streaming platforms like Netflix, HBO, or Amazon Prime are nowadays, you may feel a bit hopeless when it comes to finding new things to keep your attention. 

So what is there to do? Turn back to cable? No! The answer is as obvious as a big red play button. All you need to do is go on YouTube. 

Now before you turn away, just know that I’m not talking about YouTube Premium. This solution to your ‘what do I watch’ question is completely free. YouTube has got a a wide variety of media to keep you occupied that you might not even know about, including:

• Nostalgic shows
• Dramas
• Anime
• Cartoons
• Even audiobooks!

When it comes to nostalgia, you might not know that YouTube has got the entire Degrassi series on its platform. You can either revisit the Canadian teen drama to refamiliarize yourself with the characters you know and love, or you can be like me and watch it to find out what made this show so popular in the first place.

If you would rather have something more serious, you can watch BBC’s Line of Duty, which has won numerous awards, and if you’ve got a younger sibling and want to keep them away from how overstimulating current shows can be, YouTube has got beloved, older childhood shows, like George Shrinks, and Zaboomafoo. It’s got something for everyone’s interests, including all the episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh!

It’s always nice to know when you can get quality content for free, and YouTube is the platform that’s got it for you.
