WARNING: You’re Losing Money by Not Using TikTok!

Okay, TikTok may not make you a bazillion dollars right away, but it can increase your engagement and spread your content to a new, constantly growing audience.
Not everyone is a natural-born content creator, but these 5 simple tricks will get you in the game. TikTok is an easy tool to use, and while it does have a learning curve, it can help you take your content to the next level.
1. Filters
Filters are a great tool to not only add interest to your videos but to increase engagement as well. Popular filters are favoured by the algorithm and can gain traction easily. You can click on the filter on a video and it will take you to a page that showcases every TikTok on the platform that uses that specific filter.
Here’s a great video on how to use the Green Screen filter. It’s one of the most popular and useful filters on TikTok.
2. Trending Sounds
When you decide to make a TikTok, click the button at the top of the screen to add a Sound. Here, you’ll find a page full of popular TikTok sounds that have gained traction. There’s even a playlist called “TikTok Viral” with sounds that have blown up on the platform.
Using these popular sounds gives your video a better chance of being picked up by the algorithm. Many of the most viewed TikToks use a sound that is currently trending.
3. Duets and Stitches
Duets are a great tool that lets you post your video side by side with another creator’s TikTok. Basically, it’s a split-screen video with your content next to someone else’s. This is a good tool for brands to use in order to mutually benefit. A duet can increase the engagement on your post, and direct viewers to the original video as well.
Stitches are similar, but instead of playing the video side by side, it allows you to combine another creator’s TikTok with your own. You take a portion of someone else’s video (as much as you want) and then ‘cut’ the video off. Your addition with play after the clip you’ve selected.
4. Video Replies to Comments
Another great feature on TikTok is the use of video replies to comments on your posts. A creator can connect on an even more personal level by making a whole video in response to a comment! To do this, you simply click on the comment you’d like to reply to. There will be a small, red button with a video camera symbol on it. Click that, then make your response.
Now, you’ve made a real impression on a real person!
5. In-app Video Editing
One of the best parts of TikTok content creation is that you can edit your videos directly in the app. No need for another software or app to make these short videos! Film your video, then click next. You’ll be presented with a ton of options to edit your video. There are countless templates to use. You can add as much text as you want and edit it to line up with your video. Add captions for accessibility, or stickers to make your video pop. You can also add filters from this screen. One of the best tools is the voiceover feature. Record and edit your voiceover right from TikTok.
Time to get out there and get creative!
