Toronto’s Ripley’s Aquarium. Is it worth the $50 ticket?

I had the absolute pleasure of going to Toronto for the first time and I can confidently say it is a gorgeous, magical city. I went to a Raptor’s game and did some thrifting but the highlight of my trip was the Ripley’s aquarium. It was so fun they had so much to do! A very clever, helpful touch they had is a conveyer belt to stand on while you go through the aquarium. This ensured that you would have a great view of all the tanks and allowed you to fully immerse yourself in the experience without having to try and look over people to get a good look/photo. It was also nice because you didn’t need to keep an eye on where you were going.

The aquarium has tons of cool attractions going on every single day which you can check out on their website. There’s painting, “sharks after dark”, and even a “stingray experience” where you get to go in the tank with the stingrays. The aquarium is also directly beside the infamous CN tower and you can get a joint pass at a discounted rate if you book online.

There were tons of species of fish and reptiles that I didn’t even know existed including Paddlefish which really freaked me out. Overall I had a lovely time, I got to see seahorses with extremely long tails which were so cute. There were Sea Turtles which I loved. But overall I’d have to say my favourite part was the Stingray touch tank. When you put a hand in the tank they flap up and touch it to try and eat the oils off. It is absolutely adorable and tickles so much! Overall the aquarium was so much fun, if you’re ever in Toronto I’d highly recommend checking out but only if you’re willing to pay almost $50 pre tax per person!
