The NAIT Ooks women’s hockey team has gotten off to a blistering start in the first half of the ACAC season. The women enter the break undefeated in regular season play, sitting in first place in league standings. They have dominated the field, outscoring their opponents 28-8 in their six regular season games.

Ooks have been getting contributions throughout their lineup all season, with four of the top five league leaders in points all coming from NAIT. Michaella Kibblewhite has led the charge with 12 points in 6 games, racking up five goals and seven assists. Forwards, Cheyenna Harden and Cassidy Shandro are tied for second in league scoring with 9 points apiece. Both goalies have been exceptional; fourth-year Kaitlyn Slator statistics have been off the charts posting 1.33 goals against average and a .925% in 3 starts. Havanna Batke has been equally as good, with 1.90 goals against average and a .931 save percentage in her two games played this season.

The women will be looking to continue their success in the second half of the season. They visit Red Deer College on January 8th, gunning for their seventh straight win.
