Slappy Cakes, Ziplining and Bubba Gump Shrimp!

In 2019 I went to Maui for a week and let me tell you I have never felt like ditching a flight back home more than when I was leaving back to Edmonton. While I was in Maui, I went ziplining in through the bright green jungle trees, explored the coast market known as “Fifth Ave” and got to eat at Slappy Cakes Maui’s version of IHOP! Which honestly was better in my opinion!

The zipline course was by far the most fun I had on the trip, nothing beats flying through the jungle trees at high speeds doing poses for the camera! They have about five zip lines that were there and they were all built around these old trees so the whole setup looked natural with the land it was beautiful.

Fifth Ave was like being on Whyte Ave here in Edmonton but way better! It’s on the coast and it’s scattered with local shops restaurants and tourist spots. My journey down Fifth Ave included a stop at Bubba Gump Shrimp and I got to take a photo on the Forest Gump bench they had out front! I highly recommend going to Maui if the hundreds of soft sand beaches and beautiful jungle trees don’t make you fall in love with the people and the culture shared amongst everyone there will!  Once COVID-19 is over and you’re ready for your next vacation think of Maui! And bring me!!
