Power Up with Extra Life Edmonton

There are only five weeks left in the semester and you’re probably feeling as if you’ve hit a motivational wall. The NR92 third semester students have a perfect opportunity for you to blow off some steam and have a good laugh before the last few weeks of school fly by. The Power Up with Extra Life Edmonton event is a live stream gaming session featuring all of the third semester NR92 radio hosts!

Play games. Heal kids. That’s Extra Life’s mantra. The organization has chapters all across Canada and the United States. Extra Life Edmonton provides a platform and an audience for gamers to raise money for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. We at NR92 love the idea of playing games in order to raise money for kids who need it most. Really, we’d just be playing video games anyway. Why not help out a good cause!

On March 27, we’ll be hopping on Extra Life Edmonton’s Discord server and playing Among Us, Halo (Firefight), Halo (PvP) and maybe more! That’s where we need you. If you like playing games, you’ll love getting into the Extra Life Edmonton community! Their Discord server is always alive with action. You can tune in to watch gamers in the community play, you can start your own stream or you can use it as a way to connect with gamers right here in Edmonton! All the while you can raise money for a worthwhile charity that’s in need of funds! On March 27, NR92 will be playing for six hours between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tune in to NR92 every day to hear our DJ’s diss each other on-air and get amped up for all the betrayal, laughs, confusion and good times! We have a Facebook event page to use as a hub for all the fun stuff we’ll be posting as we get hyped for this event! We’ll have videos, trash talk and reminders about how worthwhile joining Extra Life Edmonton’s Discord is!
