Ooks women’s hockey team flying high

The Ooks women’s hockey team is off to a hot start through eight matches. At the top of the ACAC with a 7-1 record, this team has been great in all facets of the game. On defence, they have been superb posing only six goals against with goaltender Aurora Van Wormer earning 4 shutouts in the early part of the season.
Kaitlyn Slator, being a sixth-year senior is also anchoring the back end in the net. She is four wins away from breaking the ACAC record for the most wins ever.
Up front, this red-hot roster has been pilling up the points with Cheynna Harden and Cassidy Shandro leading the league with 13 points each. Bre Martin is right behind them in second place with 11 points. Shandro is also tied first for the most goals in the league with eight.
If they were to take it all this season, it would be a redemption of last year’s final against the Red Deer Polytechnic Queens. I personally believe that this team is built to take the ACAC crown this year.
