Music Festival Recommendations: Edmonton’s Scream Halloween Festival

By Nick Petlock on March 29, 2021

I have been to many music festivals. Too much so to count. That is why I am here to provide you with yet another music festival you need to attend once all this COVID stuff is all over. As you can tell, the majority of music festivals I attend are EDM music festivals. So here is another! This recommendation is Edmonton’s own, annual, Scream Fest! If you haven’t already looked for a new costume by the end of this post, then I have failed you. Let get right into it!

What Is the Edmonton Scream Fest?

The Edmonton Scream Fest, takes place in Edmonton every year, sometime around Halloween. It is located at the Edmonton Expo Center in downtown Edmonton and is the perfect place to celebrate the Halloween spirit. Full of ghosts, ghouls, classic Halloween music remixes and so much more!

Come For The Music, Stay For The Spook.

This festival comes packed with so much. Not only is it one of the best Halloween parties in the city, but it’s also the loudest. Chock-full of PK speakers on massive stages, photo booths for your friends and you, drinks, contests, the whole nine. You will see some of the best Halloween costumes, and some of the worst. Some of the scariest and some of the *heh-hum* hottest… I do know what else really to say to give this festival away. If you love Halloween, then why not?

Who Is Attending This Haunted Night?

You know I am gonna say the “Chad’s” and “Stacy’s” are at this festival. Its target demographic is definitely around 18 – 26 years old. Though, the Halloween spirit is also at this festival. Most people just want to dress up and dance, so you really won’t have any issues with the people here. Especially if you attend with your friends, all you have to worry about is having fun. It is super packed, so try and get there early if you want to be able to grab the rail at the front of the crowd. The DJs are only big names on the main stage, though there is a smaller, secondary stage that features local artists. Like said before, all the costumes are amazing, and that is a sight to see on its own.

Just Go.

Honestly, and especially if you are young, then just go! This festival is a time and a half! You will get to attend little, in-home Halloween parties for the rest of your life, this festival may not be around forever, so besides COVID, what is stopping you? Tickets are cheap, the location is close, and the festival is amazing. If you are a Halloween fanatic like myself, then this festival is for you!
