Here’s something fun to do before Spotify Wrapped 2022

By Jaeden Piche on December 1, 2022

Everyone’s Instagram stories will be music filled once again.

Spotify Wrapped 2022 doesn’t have a set release date but based on the previous years, it should be sometime in the next couple of weeks. Spotify stopped tracking your played songs and podcasts back at Halloween, so anything you listen to now won’t affect the final playlist.

In the meantime, why not look back at last year’s Wrapped? You can start to get an idea of what your 2022 Wrapped will look like and how much it’s changed. Better yet, if you want some extra fun, why don’t you mash all your previous Wrapped into one playlist?

I’ve been doing this for the last four years. It’s tedious, but I’ve collected all 100 songs from my many Wrapped going back to 2016. Currently, my playlist sits at just under 19 hours, but I have no doubt I’ll reach 24 this year. It’s truly a blast to pull up the playlist and hit shuffle to get a feel for every passing year and see how my music tastes have changed and when I have discovered artists.

The trick is not to skip adding any songs, even if you’re sick of them. One day you’ll go back to that song, remembering that you were tired of it but can’t help but jam out to it now.
