Discover what life is like as an NR92 DJ

Welcome to the inside scoop of what it’s like to be an NR92 DJ. So, if you’re a RATV student who is going to be one themselves, then here is what you might not know about the DJ lifestyle.  

First and foremost, being a DJ is some of the most fun you will ever have. You get to play some sick tunes, but you also get to talk about the upcoming news or stories you want to tell with your cohost.  

But that’s not all, there’s more to what goes into being an NR92 DJ than just tapping some buttons and talking to people. It’s also the behind-the-scenes production. Making sure everything is running smoothly. 

Also, running social media like our Instagram and Facebook pages. Every good radio station will have their social media on every platform, and it is our job to make sure we have scheduled posts, so there is always some great content to see when people are not tuning in to us on the air.  

And of course, talking on the air sounds like walking on clouds but to make a show run smoothly you should always have some content prepared before a show so that not just you, but your partner can have a great show together. 

Overall, the life of a DJ for NR92 is a lot of fun and a great learning experience. If I could give any advice to you up and coming DJ’s, it would be to take everything one step at a time. Remember, you’re still learning so don’t beat yourself up if you make a mistake.  

NR92, now that’s something worth sharing.
