Christmas in Edmonton

By Katelyn Mos on December 1, 2023

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas holds a special place in my heart as it’s my favourite holiday of the year. Christmas is full of joy and there are so many different activities all throughout Edmonton so you can put yourself in the Christmas joy.

Fort Edmonton Park is hosting the Edmonton Christmas market to get in the holiday spirit. This market is full of local artists. You can get your Christmas shopping done in one stop because there are so many different local vendors that have the perfect gift for your loved ones. There is lots of live music and of course, food and drink to enjoy while you watch these amazing artists.

A Christmas classic is coming back to the Citadel Theater. The Christmas Carol is known worldwide and has so many different versions to enjoy. I have seen this show at the Citadel before and it is must see to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Have you ever seen the Holiday train? It’s a sight you don’t want to miss. Now the train unfortunately isn’t coming to Edmonton this year, but you can take a Christmas drive to Camrose or Wetaskiwin and catch the train on December 7.

Candy Cane Lane is a classic event to attend in Edmonton. It’s so peaceful walking this street with a candy cane hot chocolate. I mean what else could you ask for? Christmas lights are some of the most beautiful thing you will see.

Now you’re going to want to have some of the best Christmas music to listen to while attending all of the Christmas events across Edmonton. You listen to NR92 to hear the Classic Christmas songs and New Christmas songs to give you that Christmas Joy and put you into the Christmas spirit.
