Celebrate 100 years of Disney

We all know and love Disney for its magic. It’s a place to escape reality and dream of a different world. As a little girl, I was obsessed with everything Disney and as an adult I get to relive that magic with all of these live-action remakes of Disney.
In 1923 Walt Disney made a cartoon called Alice’s Wonderland and this would later be his “pilot”. He turned this cartoon into a series called “Alice’s Comedies” which was published on October 16, 1923. This was the start of the Disney Company.
The first Mickey Mouse cartoon “Steamboat Willie” was published on November 18, 1928. This was the first time we saw Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
In 1934 The first Disney princess came to life. Snow White and the seven dwarfs was a new success for Disney as they became the place for princesses.
On July 17 1955 Disneyland opened and it was a place for people to experience magic in real-life.
On December 15, 1966 Walt Disney passed away but the magic and dream continued.
In 1983 The Disney Channel was created and we could see more productions like High School Musical, Hannah Montana and of course Mickey Mouse.
In 2006 Disney and Pixar merged and created pieces we know and love like Toy Story, UP, Cars, and Finding Nemo.
Cinderella was the first Live-action remake on March 13, 2015. This was the stepping stone for more live action remakes that were more inclusive for everyone watching.
Disney has grown so much over the past 100 years and continues to grow as long as we believe and dream.
