Caleb’s Top 5 Games Of 2024

By caleb turner on December 17, 2024

I am what you may call a gamer. I play lots of games and maybe sometimes to much but because of that I have lots of opinions and I will go through the top 5 games I have played this year. They wont necessarily be games that came out this year but games I played this year in general.

5. Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is a game I have been playing since it’s release in September of 2017. And while the game has had a rocky life, I still love it. This year has been one of my most played in terms of destiny. With the launch of there last major expansion, the final shape and the build up to that in the form of into the light just made it such an amazing game for that short period of time.

4. Fortnite

So Fortnite is often considered by many to be a kid’s game. And while that may be true, it doesn’t stop me from enjoying the game. When the game first came out, I hated it and would outright refuse to play it, but as the years went by, I started to dabble in it a bit and I absolutely love it.

3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

I have a complicated relationship with call of duty in it being I love to hate on the games. However, when black ops 6 got revealed, I felt excited for a call of duty game for the first time in years. And when the game came out it was the most fun, I’ve had in years. The multiplayer was great, and the zombies was fun. As always, the camo grind is my favourite part of the game and that is not lacking here.

2. PC Building Simulator

I mostly play shooters and fighting games, but when I’m not I am often on this game. It is such a vibe. The music is amazing and, you just get to run a PC repair shop. It’s so much fun cause it taught me more about upgrading and building pc’s and it has become one of my favourites.

5. Final Fantasy XVI

I always seem to end up back playing the new final fantasy game, whenever they are released. They have always had some of the best music in my opinion and some of the best gameplay and stories I have experienced. XVI is no exception to the matter. This was the first true fully focused real time action Final Fantasy game, and while that took some getting used to, I thought it was amazing. The characters were compelling, and the story was dark and gritty, which was very unlike any final fantasy game before it. With everything considered Final Fantasy XVI has to be my favourite game that I played this year.
