Bands and Artists I Found on NR92

Being on the radio for the past 6 months really helped me discover new bands and artists. NR92 plays all kinds of different genres of music so it’s a great way to discover different bands and artists. Here are three artists and bands that I have become a fan of while being on NR92.

I had never heard of The Beaches till September when I was on NR92. They are an all girl band from Toronto. Their song “Blame Brett” is one of my favourite songs right now and “What doesn’t Kill You Makes You Paranoid” another song that is fantastic. Both songs are on their newest album Blame my Ex that came out in September of 2023.

I clearly have a thing for Canadian artists because the next artist I discovered was the artist TALK. “Run Away to Mars” and “Wasteland” are his biggest hits right now and they are great songs. I like how they are both very different with “Run Away to Mars” being slower songs and “Wasteland” being more up beat. Both songs are on his newest album Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees that came out in October or 2023. TALK is also from Canada hailing from Ottawa.

Cage the Elephant is not Canadian but they have some great songs on NR92. “Neon Pill” and “Out Loud” are the newest singles right now from Cage the Elephant. And both songs came out in 2024. And their album Neon Pill is is coming out on May 17th which I can’t wait to listen to!
