Acoustic version or OG?

Have you searched for your favourite song’s acoustic version? You might end up liking the acoustic version more. These are a few of the songs that I absolutely love the original of, but the acoustic I love just a little bit more! I would love to know your thoughts on it too! If You Love Her (Acoustic) — Forest Blakk: The original version of this song came out in 2018, my dad had showed it to me and it’s been in every single one of my playlists – then the acoustic version came out in 2021 and I cant listen to the original the same. Forest Blakk is an alternative singer-songwriter and poet from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I am a huge fan of Canadian Content music, and this is one of my favourite Can-Con songs. This song means so much to me because it is a song my dad showed me and one that I’ll have with me forever, so there’s so much sentimental value in this song, not just for me, but I feel as though this song could connect with you as well!

At Your Worst (Acoustic) — Callum Scott: The original version of this song came out earlier this year (2023), and it was really catchy for me! I found it on the radio first and I really enjoyed the pop feel it had. I usually used to listen to music just for the lyrics, but though listening to the acoustic versions of each song, I really discovered the absolute power of listening to the beat, tempo, and artistry behind everything BUT the lyrics. It truly makes or breaks a song. So if you catch me listening to really weird songs where the lyrics are questionable, don’t come for me.

Used To Love (Acoustic) — Martin Garrix & Dean Lewis: The original version of this song came out in 2019, and truly, I thought it couldn’t get any better. This song’s OG version really holds a place in my heart and honestly the whole experience I have while listening to it is euphoric. I may have lied when I said that all of these songs sound better acoustic, JKJK this song just has a totally different feel in acoustic than it does in the OG. Martin Garrix struck gold having Dean Lewis in this song and honestly, this song could not have been any better.
Serotonin (Acoustic) — Jessia: This last song, the original version came out earlier this year as well (2023). Jessia is a Vancouver-based artist who blew up on TikTok for her famous song I’m Not Pretty. Her new-found popularity landed her a spot for a contract with Ryan Tedder. Serotonin should be Jessia’s most popular and it’s not and that is really a shame. The acoustic version holds so much more power and emotion I find than the original. The cool and most sentimental part of this song for me has to be that I actually had the chance to meet her, and the opportunity to hear this song both acoustically and regularly LIVE.
