5 things to add to your wardrobe this Fall
By Jieou Dela Cruz on October 11, 2024
-The Fall season is a very chilly season, but it makes for a great way to be able to layer up and bring out the warmer outfits in your wardrobe. It is perfect for when you want to layer up on those clothes you bought back in the Summer but haven’t been able to because of the heat wave. You could even have some pairs of pants laying around somewhere that you haven’t tried on yet. Through this article you will see how different pieces in your wardrobe play a role in your outfits, but also how to combine pieces and build your wardrobe for this Fall season.

-Layering up and wearing more clothes are an easy way to ensure you keep warm this Fall season. Jackets are a great way of not only layering your clothes but also to add more depth and creativity to your outfits. Even going into the winter season jackets such as puffer jackets, and just regular zip ups are still in style. Recently workwear jackets have been a big statement in the fashion community because of the brand Carhartt. Be careful though as some jackets can be a bit pricey, some Carhartt jackets go for over $200 to $300 just for one. I’d recommend any jacket that makes you feel comfortable, but also one that you think looks nice.
2:Hoodies
-As a base layer hoodies are the perfect way to stay comfortable while staying warm this Fall season. Hoodies are mostly made out of 100% cotton which makes the material very soft but also very warm for days where you’re out and about. They are also very affordable since they are a cheaper alternative to jackets, and are more light weight and more breathable for when you’re inside. Some great brands that have affordable hoodies are Zara and H&M. Both brands offer pretty good quality hoodies while also maintaining affordability. These brands are also accessible through proximity as they are located at West Edmonton Mall.
3:Shirts

-Any basic outfit has a shirt, its an essential piece of clothing to building an outfit since it lays down the base layer. You don’t need to go too crazy with designs or patterns since layering up for Fall is the main point, but if you wanna spice up your outfit then graphics and patterns will be perfect. I definitely recommend for just going with a plain white or black tee since it’ll be covered with either a jacket or hoodie that you choose. For affordable shirts thrifting will be your best friend as they offer shirt for $5-$10 a piece.
4:Pants
-The second essential piece to an outfit and the one you need to pay attention to the most. Pants are a great way to bridge all the pieces you have together so that they flow. Especially in the new generation of dressing baggy pants are definitely the biggest thing right now. All you really need are a dark wash pair of baggy jeans, and a light wash pair so that you can bridge outfits from either a dark pallet or light pallet. A good pair of baggy jeans will really go a long way and I would recommend getting jeans from Bershka.
5:Shoes/Accessories
-Finally we have shoes and accessories. Shoes are something that you can match with the entire outfit, or be unique and stand out by themselves. Personally for the Fall season I would recommend either boots or clogs since they fit in with how chilly this season is. Timberland boots have made a huge comeback this year solely because of New York fashion, and for clogs I would go with the Boston Birkenstocks since they provide comfort and style at the same time.
