3 ways you can help SCARS for cheap

By Ethan Maat on November 14, 2022

For a lot of students it is often hard to find the time and commitment to adopting an animal of your own but there are many easier ways for students to help out Second Chance Animal Rescue Society.

Donate Your Bottles

Many of students struggle to find extra cash, that is why SCARS also accepts bottle donations to help with their rescues. You can make a donation with you left over cans or bottles just by asking for them to be donated towards SCARS after dropping them off, you can also go to the website SkipTheDepot for help donating! Donating bottles is a great alternative to donating money and you will be able to donate to any of you local Edmonton bottle depots and in surrounding areas like Athabasca, Sherwood Park, Devon and Spruce Grove.

Volunteering

Volunteering in your free time is a great source of making a difference with low cost. Second Chance Animal Rescue Society is always looking for people to volunteer for them so why not make a difference with SCARS. You can help out with Admin/IT Support, Special Events, Adoptions Events, Promotions, Their Doggy Railroad and you can even help out on their Creative side. If you have a lot of compassion and are a hardworking person then email volunteers@scarscare.ca and visit Second Chance’s website

Submit Your Pets Photos For SCAR’S Calendar

Probably the easiest and cutest way that you can show your support for local rescues is by submitting your pet photo to SCARSCalendars@scarscare.ca. If you have cute pictures of your animal posing for a gorgeous glamour shot, romping in the snows, trolling in the beautiful river valley, sitting in front of the Christmas tree, enjoying a Rocky Mountain hike, snuggling or enjoying a silly or breathtaking moment. If you have cute pictures in landscape format then make sure you send them off to SCARS to be included in their calendar!
