3 great book options to read in your free time

Books are a great way to spend your free time, but sometimes, you don’t have the time to keep up with them. That is why there are three book suggestions for reading in your free time that are easy to understand and return to if you leave them for a while.

1_ Wicked

The book tells you the story of a successful movie with the same title. Wicked is based on the Wizard of Oz universe and follows the story between The Wicked Witch of the West “Elphaba” and “Glinda” the Good Witch and their stories before and after the events in the Wizard of Oz movie.  It is a great book with amazing characters that you can identify with and support the story with more than just actions, a great story and settings that make you believe that you are in a real magic land.

I got great learning from this book because it made me realize how during my high school years, I became the villain of some people’s stories just to keep a status, which connects with the character of Glinda and how she finds a real friend in the person that she hated and picked on at first. Encouraging her to change and make better decisions learning from the errors of the past.

2_ Fashionably Fit, fashionably flawed

This book was quite difficult to read but after a while, you get used to the type of writing and becomes a great story to enjoy. The story follows a mystery death that happens at Petersburg Fitness Centre before its opening, Michelle and her friend Craig will investigate the mysterious cause of death of the victim. It is a book full of emotions and suspense with a great and real protagonist that you can relate to. She has real problems and thinks about the future constantly while she deals with the feelings that she has for her friend.

I enjoyed this book so much because of how the story develops and how the protagonist questions decisions when she finds out that she might be in danger which makes her a good well-written character. Always looking for what is best for her and what she would love to see in her future not only in relationships but in her way of living.

A recent and fresh story that I discovered reading “Laura’s Books and Blogs” review which encouraged me to read it, she also put this title in her top 10 books of 2024 and has more interesting books that are on my future reading list for 2025.

3_Bridgerton Saga (The Duke and I)

This book is the first part of the Bridgerton saga, a series of books based on the early 19th-century Britain. The stories of the books follow the Bridgerton family and their journey trying to find love.

The first book is “The Duke and I “which follows the story of the 4th child of the family. “Daphne” makes her debut into society and tries to find a husband but after struggling to find the right person she plans with the Duke of Hastings “Simon” to make everyone believe they are in love, finding Daphne the perfect husband and helping Simon maintain away all the other ladies that want to marry him.

I am not a big fan of romance books, but this one is a perfect combination of a great story with a magical touch of what “real love” feels like and keeps you entrained in reading how the characters will develop feelings for each other while they grow as separate individuals. The books of this saga will make you want to find your soulmate so desperately and try to feel that true love too.
