The Revolutionary Communists at NAIT: Beyond The Label

As political and economic conversations grow around Canada, the Revolutionary Communists at NAIT say communism is misunderstood in modern society. Many believe in the stigma around it and that comes from the history and media rather than the ideas themselves. But club president Jet Boutin says people may relate to those ideas more than they realize.
“I think the vast majority of people, who are working class, if you talk about communism but just don’t use any of the words of like communism or Marxism or anything like this, like 95% of people would agree with what you’re saying.”
While few identify with the label, The Revolutionary Communists say its core ideas about equality, fairness and collective support are influencing the community.
