Reinforcements for the playoffs

It was Stan Bowman’s first Trade Deadline as Oilers General Manager and he certainly didn’t stand pat. Bringing in players Max Jones, Trent Fredric and Jake Walmen, Bowman went out and addressed many holes in the Oilers roster.
On paper these moves make sense but many fans will know “on paper” won’t necessarily translate to a fit on the ice. Walmen has been under the microscope the most as filling a top defenseman position has been an ask of the fanbase for a long time.
Aaron Bordato, producer and host at Oilersnation said Walmen has been a pleasant surprise and a better player than he gave him credit for.
“I apologize, I wasn’t familiar with his game because he has brought some physicality ten fold.”
While Fredric hasn’t suited up for the Oilers yet due to an injury, Jones has shown the team his worth and endeared himself to the fanbase with his size, physicality and work ethic.
