Ooks wins bronze in badminton nationals

The Ooks badminton season has wrapped up in Nova Scotia.
Five Ooks badminton players made it to nationals earlier this month for both men’s and women’s doubles, along with men’s singles. NAIT ended up taking home bronze in women’s doubles. This may seem great but head coach Alan Chow hopes for more next year.
“So my team’s done really well this past couple of years that I’ve joined but we haven’t won the actual championships of the team. I’m looking to recruit some more players, some more of the returning players that I want in and hopefully go for that championship.”
The Ooks have rostered 12 badminton players to nationals in the last two years alone. This year, the Ooks won the ACAC Men’s Rookie of the Year award and the ACAC Coach of the Year award.
