Ooks teams in full swing

Many Ooks Athletics teams have started their seasons which means games and events that NAIT students can participate in.
Many teams had their home opener a couple of weeks ago, which was a very big event at NAIT. Alex Galenza from Ooks Athletics says the home openers are very popular and allow the athletes and the crowd to interact.
“Home openers are huge. We had a huge crowd last weekend, especially for our volleyball teams. Same with basketball. So it’s a lot of fun when you have these huge crowds. We read the while roster for the season openers and they get to throw things crowd as their names are being read. So it’s like a whole cool, fun experience.”
The Ooks are currently hosting Neon with NAIT which is part of Make Some Noise for Mental Health month which is taking place until November 20th.
