Ooks soccer teams compete in ACAC championship

The ACAC soccer championship is underway and both the Ooks men’s and women’s soccer teams are hoping for success.
Men’s defensemen Joey Lajoie and Emmanuel Bisirat both say that the chemistry on their team has never been stronger than it is now, and that they’re looking forward to their matches.
“I think our team has gelled well together,” said Lajoie, “so just to see, the whole team get together and work hard for each other, and hopefully get the win at (Championship Weekend), and go to Nationals.”
Bisirat agreed. “Our chemistry’s at the highest point this season, and all our players are gonna come back healthy,” ahead of the big games, he said.
The ACAC Championship goes until tomorrow, Saturday October 28th, at the Edmonton Soccer Dome in Ellerslie. The men’s team have one win under their belts, while the women lost their first game on Thursday.
