Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre renovations complete
By Sam McAllister on March 24, 2026
The Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre renovations have wrapped up.
The changes were meant to attract more students to the space and include more open flooring, new colours on the walls, and a new office.
The new office was made for the recruitment specialist, and the Centre is not losing its quiet study room, as the previous recruiter office is the new quiet space.
Kaitlyn Menard is a Liaison Specialist at the Nîsôhkamâtotân Centre and worked through the renovations.
“We have gained an extra office space for our recruiter, so he’s now in there… They also have a study room, quite a large one… it was used very frequently, usually one person at a time, who needs a quiet study room. “
Kaitlyn also spoke on the challenges of renovation: “We were in, like, a classroom in the W building for a long time, and it was obviously hard for students to find us… the space was hard to access, and it was dark, like a haunted house.”
Since the completion of the Nisohkamatotan Centre, students have been known to pop in and say hi and get familiar with the most updated room on campus.
Even with the increased foot traffic, the Nîsôhkamâtotân plans to continue forward with their last Stew and Bannock Lunch on March 25th.
