New NAITSA President means a new legacy

NAITSA’s new President, Lilly Houcher, is gearing up to handle the tough issues that students face. Houcher says that she wants her legacy to be defined by hard work and effort.

She says this legacy will be one of keeping NAIT accountable, improving the student experience, and she’ll do so with her best foot.

Houcher said, “I showed up when I could, I just worked hard, that’s what I want to be known for (and) I can’t change what NAIT does at the end of the day, I can’t change student experience fully, but I wanna show that my all was in it and that I put my best foot forward.”

The start of this legacy began with a successful pancake breakfast, Houcher is hopeful that more NAITSA student events will encourage stronger friendships for students on campus.

Already, this year’s Nest Fest was a big success, with many more NAITSA planned events to come.
