NAITSA Food Centre keeping students fed

By Brendan Erick on February 8, 2024

NAITSA offers food donations to all full-time students.

Being a productive student requires healthy nutrition and unfortunately this is not reality for everyone.

NAITSA combats the problem by providing food hampers with a 6-day supply, anonymously to students in need.

And keeping the student’s identity private keeps the playing field level. NAITSA Vice President external Jenna Luczak says the identity of the students who rely on the service remain private. “At NAITSA we don’t turn away any student. It is a very anonymous service, so we see your face, but we don’t ask for your citizenship, we don’t ask for your background, we don’t ask any of that.”

The NAITSA Food Centre helps more students every year, for example the need for donations since last year has doubled.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, sign up at naitsa.ca under the student services tab.
