NAIT’s Makerspace building a community

NAIT’s Makerspace is available for all students to use.
Open for over 10 years the Makerspace is filled with new and exciting technology. The staff available are there to train you to safely use their equipment. There is also a community of students that support one another.
NAIT’s Library Director Carmen Reems praises the community surrounding the Makerspace for its inclusivity.
“One of my favorite things is when we see a couple of people from different program areas in the space and someone has a question and we don’t need to answer it, they’re answering it for each other” she says
Reems goes on about how the students have the enthusiasm and the willingness to help someone who they just met, even if they aren’t there as a volunteer.
