The NAIT It Forward campaign supports students with donations that the staff faculty provides. The project that started as a campaign with United Way and not as a singular identity in 2013 helps students with funds and economical support. Erin Kuebler, Annual Giving Officer, says there are some common situations where students needed the funds of the campaign.

“Lets say your car breaks down unexpectedly you can access emergency funding with approval from SAFO (Student Awards and Funding Options) to get a one-time bursary to help with that, we had people there’s been a fire and their laptop has been destroyed so they need some funds to cover that.”

The funding that the campaign receives not only helps to support students but also many areas across the campus. It helped launch the Writing Centre and an Intercultural celebration that everyone can attend to.
