Makerspace? Make YOUR Space!

By Carter John Faechner on October 19, 2023

NAIT’s Makerspace is for everyone.

The MakerSpace is a workshop for creatives to learn new skills with state of the art equipment, but it’s not just for engineers or architects.

The MakerSpace is available for all students on campus.

NAIT Library Director Carmen Reems is trying to grow the space.

“We try and run workshops to bring in people who might not need a CNC for their project. So we have a vacuum former behind the cabinet, and so that one we ran a chocolate mold workshop.”

Reems says the main goal is to bring in people that don’t know about the MakerSpace and to teach students about the gear and let them have fun.
