Local gamers come together for a good cause

Local food drive charity event: Food for the Food God returns for the third year in a row as a way for tabletop gamers to come together for a good cause. The event is centered around the shared passion for tabletop gaming, while encouraging participants to bring food donations with prizes as incentive.

Organizer David Cruickshank elaborated on what inspired their choice to donate to the Edmonton Food Bank this year saying “I think just the wider outreach. The Veterans Food Bank does great things for veterans, and the Edmonton Food Bank does similarly great things for all sorts of people. I think the part that inspired me more was how it might affect children.”

Food for the Food God will be taking place on December 14th this year at local business Gamers Den on 116th Ave and 119th Street.
