
Kickboxing at NAIT a boost for physical and mental health

The weekly NAIT kickboxing program is a successful class that is ongoing throughout the semester. The class offers students a chance to stay fit all while practicing the sport itself. Available twice a week from noon to 1 PM because of higher availability. NAIT’s athletic and recreation coordinator, Sandy Babiuk, says that student attendance would be low outside of the lunch hour.
“We’ve tried having some classes after 4:00. Generally, they are not well attended because we don’t have res at NAIT unfortunately.”
The class is very important for students’ well-being when it comes to mental and physical health.
