Giving Back at The Mustard Seed
By Kennedy Lane on October 6, 2017
Thanksgiving is mainly a time when families get together for a generous meal, a time to spend together and think about what you’re thankful for. But there are people without a place to go for the holiday, people without food or families, or a place to stay. That’s why Mustard Seed’s plans for Thanksgiving are already underway. While they do have enough volunteers for the weekend meals, Dean Kurpjuweit at the Mustard Seed gives ideas of what more is needed for donation with the cold on its way.
“We’re heading into winter; socks, underwear, toiletries, toques and gloves. It’s one of the smallest things you can do to make a difference.”
Any clothing or item donation can be made by mail, and you can still donate to the Mustard Seed’s Thanksgiving meals at theseed.ca
